Category 1 - Third Party Warranty:
Specific third party warranty details, terms and conditions, remedies
and procedures, are either, expressly stated on, or packaged with, or accompanying
the products. The warranty period may vary from product to product. STANLEY
shall assist the end user with getting any component sold to the end user
by STANLEY, repaired or replaced as long as it falls within the manufacturers
warranty guidelines.
Products that fall into this category:
— Computers that are purchased from STANLEY. Including, but not limited
to, DELL® computers, internal and external parts (modems, network cards,
monitors, keyboards, mice, tape back-up units, CPUs, and RAM Chips)
now have a three [3] year next business day on-site warranty.
— Third party software products that are purchased from STANLEY. Including,
but not limited to, Microsoft products (WINDOWS 95, 98 ®, WINDOWS NT
Server®, WINDOWS NT Workstation®, MS SQL Server®,
MS Back Office, Oracle and MS Access®).
— Peripheral products that are purchased from STANLEY. Including,
but not limited to, ID printers (Magicard™, Nisca™, Eltron®),
Integral™ Technologies imaging cards, Comtrol
Rocketport™ serial expansion products, Epson™ Cameras and Dell™ personal
computers.
Category 2 - Field Hardware Warranty:
All STANLEY B.A.S.I.S. Hardware, HID, Motorola, and Essex products
are provided with a one (1) year warranty from the date of installation.
All companies warrant their products to be free from material defects and
warrant that they operate in general accordance with their product specifications.
The parts will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's option. STANLEY’s
return procedures must be followed when there is a field hardware return.
Category 3 - STANLEY B.A.S.I.S. Software Warranty:
STANLEY warrants that all CD ROM and hardware keys shall be free from
defects in material and workmanship and that STANLEY software products
will function in substantial accordance to the specifications for a period
of one (1) year from the date of installation.
General Limitations of Warranty:
The warranty for all products does not cover: circumstances beyond
STANLEY’s control (acts of nature; misuse and/or abuse); work performed
by other than an Authorized STANLEY installer; failure to follow STANLEY’s
operating instructions or environmental specifications, or supply items.
If returned products are found not to be defective or to be damaged, the
following policies will be invoked:
— No-Problem Found:
If there are no problems found with the items returned as defective,
the items will be returned to the end user. If any replacement parts
were sent or repair charges incurred, an invoice will accompany the
returned item for the cost of the new item and two way shipping.
— Damaged Goods:
If returned items are found to be damaged due to use, neglect, acts
of nature, or other external factors, the
end user will be billed for the repair of the item and two way shipping.
STANLEY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
NOTE: Unless otherwise provided in the applicable product warranty, products purchased are eligible for warranty service only within the United States.
