The start and end dates for Daylight Savings Time in the United States, as well as several other countries, will be changing in 2007 as required by the United States “Energy Policy Act of 2005”. This utility will update the world time zone/daylight savings time information stored in the system database(s) for these changes.
Dedicated Micros makes a number of Video Recording devices, some devices need firmware updates to be compatible with the new Daylight Savings Time start and end dates, while others will need manual reconfiguring. Please see the listings below for your specific product. You may also download the PDF at the bottom of this page for more detailed instructions on non-NetVu DVR products.
All Dedicated Micros “NetVu connected” DVR models with current software will automatically account for the DST changes in 2007. These DVRs have the correct dates for AST, CST, EST, MST and PST that correspond with the DST changes in 2007. The minimum software version for this DST compatibility is listed below:

Important: DVRs that have software other than the specified versions above will need to be upgraded before March 11 2007 to receive the updated dates for Daylight Savings Time.

Important: The older, non-NetVu DVRs listed above under Other Hardware will require manual adjustments in order to meet the new Daylight Savings Time guidelines:
Use the following steps to set your DVR to meet the policy guidelines:
1. Go to the Time, Date & Language menu
2. Arrow down to DST and over to Manual or Auto
3. If the DST is set to Manual, change to Auto
4. Change the Spring date to “2nd Sun Mar”
5. Change the Autumn date to “1st Sun Nov”
6. Press Menu, press Menu again to confirm changes
7. Press Menu again to exit the DST setup screen

Currently the following units are manually adjusted for Daylight Savings Time.

Use the following steps to set your DVR to meet the policy guidelines:
1. The setup for Digital Sprite is located in the “System Options” screen of the Menu.
2. After selecting DST you will have to select Auto. Manually set the dates
3. Confirm that daylight savings mode (“S” or “W” is displayed next to time)
